I’ll be honest, I didn’t think I’d be writing this post this early into the year. Or at all. I only wrote my New Year’s resolutions post six days ago, and less than a week later, I’ve already failed in one of my primary writing goals (well, kind of).
I’m beating around the bush, so here it is:
I’m pleased to announce that The Arkham Autumn Festival has been accepted for publication!
I will share more details once we draw a little closer to the actual publication date, which won’t be for several months. There is always the possibility that something will change too, but for now I’m just happy to be excited. 😀
My goal to get 25 rejections isn’t over, either. I want to keep writing and submitting through this year, and while this makes it a little more difficult, there will be plenty of more opportunities to fail.
But honestly, when rejections are your goal? Failure has never tasted so sweet.
(I also want to disclaim that I won’t write a blog post every time I receive a rejection or an acceptance, but as my very first acceptance this is a special occasion. However, I WILL be making posts to advertise every publication I am featured in, and as always you can check up on my progress on my Projects page.)
Thank you all for your amazing support! With your help, I hope to continue writing, submitting, and publishing my silly little stories.
